Drew on the beach

Drew Capener has been a lover of music since, well, as long as he can remember. Born and raised in Salt Lake City, his ears would catch on to his parents playing guitar, which introduced him at a young age to the world of music. One of his earliest memories he says: "was listening the Tracy Chapman at a Sundance Cabin. This is where you could say I fell in love with music. Honestly that is the farthest I can remember back and I can even remember the music that was playing! I loved music even then I guess." Once Drew got in contact with his own guitar, at age thirteen, he never put it down. He taught himself or as he puts it: "played the guitar 'till the guitar played for him". After high school, Drew moved to Sweden and spent two years there. He would write poems and was inspired every day by things happening around him and his family at home in the U.S. These poems later translated into what is now his music and he continues to be inspired by occurrences from every day living. His lyrics have true meaning and can be interpreted in many shapes and forms. He doesn't just sing and hope to be heard, Drew puts his heart out there for anyone willing to listen.
